Claire completed her Bachelor (B.A. Mod) degree in medicinal chemistry at Trinity College Dublin. She began her PhD in 2018 with joint supervision from Dr. Lígia Catarina Gomes-da-Silva (University of Coimbra, Portugal) and Prof. Dr. Mathias Senge (Trinity College Dublin). Claire's research is focused on the implications of atropisomerism for photosensitizer efficacy in photodynamic therapy. Her work is funded by the H2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie "POLYTHEA" grant.
